The Disoeuvre no 7 (for chickens) 2020
Felicity Allen’s multi-faceted contribution to Exhibition for Chickens Summer 2020 included 28 personally wrapped and addressed A5 cards, printed on one side with a reproduction of a portrait of Althea Greenan (curator of the Women’s Art Library at Goldsmiths College) painted in watercolour, and on the other side with the False Poem, The Disoeuvre, a speech. The cards were addressed and distributed to all our friends here - every chicken, goat, goose, cat and human. This act was documented in video and combined with a recorded reading of the poem by the artist, resulting in the film below:
